Whether you've seen it in the movies or heard it in the news, everyone knows what a stampede is. Thanks to the modern era and pushy/impatient shoppers, it's not just about a herd of cattle anymore.

I think a "stampede" is happening right now with the Obama administration and the Democrat-controlled Congress.

It's impossible to follow all that they are trying to cram through the legislature and by "regulation". I think the masterminds behind this new regime want to flood the American people with so much CHANGE that we can't possibly follow all of it, so we end up doing nothing. 

Sure, some of us talk about the proposed Obama Youth program; some of us are scared about the government being able to shut down any business at the drop of a hat; some of us are worried about a national health care system.

BUT, we can't possibly catch all of this, and that is exactly their plan: Bombard the American people until they are so overwhelmed that they can't possibly react and respond to the new regime's actions.

Brilliant move. Especially if you subscribe to the socialism that's heading our way. But, to most of Americans, it is a stab in the back, a betrayal of all we are and all we stand for.

This stampede of ideas, beliefs and social engineering is a direct assault on what the Founding Fathers fought for and the vision of this great country. I am not sure how far the Obama Aministration and Congress will push the common man, but perhaps they should read King George's memoirs.

We have no representation in Washington and our freedom is slipping away from us. This stampede cannot continue.
